This workshop will explore the lovely subtle effects of drypoint and combine this with printing on a variety of papers both commercial and handmade. Jan will supply small Perspex plates and glue. Participants will need to bring inks and etching paper for printing on (BFK or Hahnemueller).
Jan Palethorpe is a printmaker with over 40 years of practice. She loves to work in chine collé and print on odd papers. Her recent work in a group show at the Broken Hill City Art Gallery (with Diana Orinda Burns) utilizes lithography printed over old maps. She teaches migrant English at Bendigo Tafe to support her practice.
